Bringing life to Bach! The aim of the Bachcelona Foundation and Festival in Barcelona is to take Bach's music out of the somewhat stuffy concert hall environment and focus instead on an inclusive, interpretive and vibrant Bach experience. The concert will feature young and talented Bachcelona musicians. Participating are also four talented vocal soloists: Rita Morais, Christian Gil-Borrelli, Daniel Thomson and Ramiro Maturana. They have been awarded the Beca Bach recognition, which includes master classes with renowned singers such as Carlos Mena, Katharine Fuge, Stephan MacLeod, Miriam Feuersinger or Alex Ashworth.
The program is composed of two beautiful Bach cantatas (BWV 24 and 168) in which the performers have to face all possible expressive registers. We will discover arias that are true treasures of the vocal repertoire.
