Mia Kivinen

Lighting designer Mia Kivinen combines over twenty years of experience as a lighting designer with her work as a curator of image and light art. She views the performance space, with its lighting and performers, as a spatial whole. She is interested in abstract and minimalist spatial treatments. Kivinen also works as a teacher of lighting design and art, and she has a broad background in arts organizations, most recently serving as the vice chair of the Finnish Light Art Society FLASH.
