Gabriella Martellacci

Born in Rome, she graduated as a flutist at S.Cecilia Conservatory in Rome. She took part in several chamber music groups and subsequently she devoted herself to singing, carefully studying baroque praxis with Rossana Bertini and Gloria Banditelli.

She collaborates with ensembles such as Concerto Italiano, La Risonanza, Modo Antiquo Ensemble Aurora, Les Muffatti, Cantar Lontano, Accademia del Santo Spirito, La Stagione Armonica, Odhecaton, Accademia Barocca di Santa Cecilia, Mare Nostrum, Concerto Romano, Il Pomo d’Oro and with the conductors Rinaldo Alessandrini, Frieder Bernius, Fabio Bonizzoni, Francesco Cera, Paolo Da Col, Andrea De Carlo, Enrico Gatti, Jean-Claude Malgoire, Marco Mencoboni, Alessandro Quarta, Federico Maria Sardelli, Howard Shelley, Peter Van Heygen.

She regulary performs in the most important Baroque Music Festivals (Utrecht, St.Veit, Ambronay, St.Michel en Thiérache, Chaise-Dieu, Cuenca, Santiago de Compostela, Urbino, Festival Monteverdi - Cremona, Grandezze & Meraviglie – Modena, Festival Alessandro Stradella – Viterbo). She has been guest of Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia and Accademia Filarmonica Romana (Rome), Festival della Valle d’Itria (Martina Franca), Società del Quartetto (Milan), Teatro Olimpico (Vicenza), Teatro del Giglio (Lucca), MITO Settembre Musica (Turin and Milan), Associazione Alessandro Scarlatti (Napoli), La Cité de la Musique (Paris), Sociedad Filarmónica (Bilbao), Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), Konzerthaus (Vienna).

She has recorded for Amadeus, Arcana, Brilliant Classics, Dynamic, Glossa, Hyperion, Naïve, Ricercar, Ramée, Stradivarius, Tactus.
