Laura Hárs

Laura Hárs is a versatile Baroque violinist and passionate chamber musician. She studied at the Sibelius Academy of the University of the Arts Helsinki and the Royal Conservatory of Brussels under the guidance of Sirkka-Liisa Kaakinen-Pilch, Joanna Huszczan, and Ryo Terakado, among others. She has performed with numerous orchestras and ensembles, including Il Gardellino and the Helsinki Baroque Orchestra. Laura plays in the Æstus ensemble, which, in addition to the standard repertoire, commissions and performs new music on historical instruments. They won the first prize in the EAR-ly competition for early music ensembles in June 2023. Laura also achieved the 3rd prize in the international José Herrando Baroque Violin Competition in 2020 and was selected by the University of the Arts as the young artist of the summer in 2023.
